SAT SUMMER FAQS

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common camp questions. Whether you’re wondering how much tuition costs or how classes are structured, all questions are welcome. Check out the list of FAQs below, and please contact us if you still have more questions.

WHAT MAKES YOUR CAMP THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR MY CHILD?

Summer is a great time for students to focus on the SAT prep without pressure from school work and extra-curricular activities. Moreover, considering the current trend in college admissions, students must act early to secure their best possible scores on the SAT. Therefore, attending the SAT Summer Camp will improve not only your child's SAT scores but also his/her chance of college admissions.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP?

We understand that your financial commitment is not an easy investment. Therefore, we offer affordable tuition rates -- 25% to 30% cheaper than other learning centers in the Captial Region area. On average, our hourly rate is less than $30. We also offer flexible financial payment plans. Please contact us for more information.

HOW DO YOU TEACH THE SAT?

Strategies. Strategies. Strategies. We don't just give out previous SAT questions to solve in class. Fundamentally, we refuse to engage our students in "trial-and-error" learning (a.k.a. a simple review of incorrect questions). We teach them with proven strategies, metacognitive learning, and efficient tools so they can consistently show their best performance no matter how difficult the test is.

WOULD MY CHILD'S SCORE IMPROVE DRAMATICALLY AFTER ATTENDING THE CAMP?

Yes and no. Mrs. Chung has seen a gamut of growth (both in scores and students) during her teaching career, and it is dependent on several factors: student's level of engagement/ motivation, student's level of interests in reading and writing, and family's investment in education. If a student can demonstrate all three factors during the camp, you will certainly see a dramatic score improvement.

WHAT IS A GOOD SAT SCORE?

It depends on what type of schools your child would like to attend in the future. Historically, students at ABLE Enrichment have received scores in the mid-1400s to high-1500s on the NEW SAT. On average, students improve 200 points after attending the SAT summer camp.

HOW WOULD I KNOW MY CHILD'S PROGRESS?

ABLE Enrichment values parental involvement. Parents will be always notified via weekly report cards. Moreover, Ms. Chung will be available to meet and discuss your child's progress upon request.
